On January 3rd, Pastor Paul called the church to a 21-day fast that will begin on January 10th.  If you are new to fasting, then we encourage you to listen to Paul's teaching on fasting from last January.  As his teaching illustrates,  biblical fasting is not eating food or beverage.  Over these 21 days, some of you may choose to do a water only fast, a Daniel fast, while others may choose to abstain from coffee, sugar, alcohol, meat, or some other food during these 21 days.

We encourage you to spend time seeking God about what type of fast you will do.  Our prayer and our hope is that there will be 100% participation in this corporate fast.  God will do amazing things in your life and in our city when we seek Him with all our heart, mind, soul and strength.

As you read over the information provided, please consider how it applies to your circumstances and convictions. Fasting does require reasonable precautions.  If you have any health concerns, please consult your physician prior to beginning your fast – especially if you are taking medication, have a chronic condition, or if you are pregnant or nursing.

Be sure to read the 21 Day Fast Blog during your fast and share your thoughts with the rest of the RC3 community.
