Whew! What a week! For those of you that don't know, I work
part-time as a vending attendant at a local school. As a vending
attendant I fill vending machines with delicious candy, chips, food,
and drink for hungry high schoolers to devour. The best part is that
I get to eat all that I want for free!! The worst part is that there
are few items that can be had in a Daniel fast! Imagine that :/
Needless to say my week has been full of ups and downs. I feel rested
and pumped when I arrive and bitter and hungry when I leave. Yet as I
start to feel sorry for myself and I reach for that Kit Kat I think
about Jesus. I think about Jesus and His sacrifice and how my major
problem of the moment doesn't really seem so major. We're sacrificing
ourselves for 21 days, which at moments can seem like a lifetime. But
in reality it's 21 days out of the 365 God gives us every year. WE
CAN DO THIS!!!
Remember through these next two weeks that God's greatest desire is
for us to know Him, really know Him. So call to Him, cling to Him
during this time and you will be blessed!!!
